About this activity
Departing from our other location on the main pier inside the Plaza La Isla shopping center in the Hotel Zone, take a 2-hour speedboat tour through the mangrove canals, then head to Punta Nizuc National Park, which is home to one of the world’s two largest coral reefs, and swim as part of your speedboat tour.
Following your highly experienced local tour guide along the canals through the beautiful mangrove jungle, hop into the driver’s seat and start the engine for adventure. When you arrive at the reef, park your boat, put on your mask, and snorkel in the crystal-clear waters, always under the leadership of your local guide Look for colorful tropical fish along with the coral reef formations.
The MUSA underwater museum is a great place for experienced swimmers only. It has sculptures that are sunk into the water and act as homes for sea life.
After diving, reboard your speedboat for a quick journey back to Plaza la Isla, Cancun’s best shopping center, and you’ll have the best time of your holiday.

- You must be 18 years of age and present a valid photo ID in order to drive the speedboat.
- This service requires a payment of $20.00 USD per person prior to boarding, payable in cash for the use of natural marine elements (Art. 198 of the Federal Rights Law) payable on the day of your activity.
- If you are pregnant or have had recent surgery, asthma, severe back or neck pain, or claustrophobia you should not participate.
- Subject to favorable weather conditions. If cancelled due to poor weather you will be given the option of an alternative date or full refund.
- MUSA gallery at Punta Nizuc National Park is only open to intermediate and advanced swimmers and during favorable weather conditions.
- For the shared speed boat option, a minimum requirement of 2 people is necessary. If by accident 1 person books under this price and there isn’t someone to share a speedboat with, an additional 52 usd will be charged at the moment of check-in.

For security reasons, our tour guides can take a maximum of 10 people per tour or up to 5 speedboats. If you have a group of more than 10 people, it will be divided into two or more groups based on the number of people.
The only difference between speedboat and snorkel and speedboat and snorkel from Plaza la Isla is the starting point; these activities last the same amount of time, include snorkeling, and return to the same location from where they started.
These boats can never capsize and are very safe.
It’s easy to learn how to operate our speedboats. You may operate our speedboats without problem if you can drive a car safely.
The two-hour cruise begins at the Plaza la Isla shopping center’s main pier. You’ll reach Punta Nizuc National Park’s coral reef after a 40-minute journey. You will get to snorkel for around 40 minutes and see a huge variety of aquatic life. You will then drive your speedboat back to the starting location via the Nichupte Lagoon’s canals.
There is a combined máximum total weight capacity of 530 pounds for each vessel. For the driver and all passengers, the combined weight cannot be exceeded.
The maximum recommended height to board a speedboat is 6.3 feet or 1.95 meters, and the maximum waist size is 51 inches or 130 cm.

- Watershoes or sandals (flip-flops are fine)
- A Towel.
- Wear waterproof sunscreen or, even better, a long-sleeved t-shirt!
- Sunglasses.
